Lovely atmosphere, lovely tone. Supurb selection of narrative as well. Good work all round.

The selection of narrative was a Blossom Special. 100%, completely authentic, genuine Regency text. Genuinely.

She wants to use a 'real' Regency text, but I'm happy with what she produced, to be fair. It's convincing enough. Hey ho.

Very atmospheric indeed- good matching up of image to word. I'm especially fond of the use of facial expressions in this one.

Jom I can't believe I hav't commented on this yet! It's exactly as we imagines! So lovely! And it really feels just as we wanted it to feel! More specific comments on panels to folow. My faourite is Kitty with her eyes closed, though, folloing the pre ious two panels it's particularly lovely! Yes, Quoth, I put some effort into matching up narative and panel. It does work, actually, maybe we could keep it... One question, in some of the 'hands' panels, does it look a bit like the book's shut??

NB: The novelist they love could be a character in a different section of the book if we're going to make it up anyway??

Yes, novelist we use elsewhere - that would be very cool. Also, at some point, I'd like to have a murder mystery, or some kind of involved, Dickensian plot that runs through the entire thing (but is more like a skeleton than the heart of the plot).

The hand shots would need tweaking in re-draft. As would all of it, but hey ho.

Must admit I can't see a problem with the close-up shot at all - it's clear the book's still open, since he's still reading it! Maybe I'm relying too much on an understanding of comics here, but if the book were meant to be closed, with Noakes reciting from memory, there'd be a proper establishing shot of the book being closed.

Too much thought, maybe. Anyway - just as lovely, with added romance! Hurrah! I'm all for romance. Can there be more romance?
