Batman and Robin

Holy Dynamic Duo Batman! 

I've been thinking a bit about how you could tell a Batman story without Bruce Wayne as a bit of Hypothetical Etcetera. So this is Dick Grayson as Batman, with Nightwing/Dark Knight inspired costume and an older Damian Wayne Robin. In Arkham City, the Nightwing character model fights with short staves with stun prods on the ends, which I thought was cool. Also, I was quite keen on the ASBO style Robin that they went for. Damian Wayne is a lot more emo, so I've kept him Dark and Edgy. So, these two fight with weapons. Notice the lack of capes!

If in doubt, draw Space Marines!

Every now and then I get a hankering to draw the Galaxy's Finest - this time in a Celtic style!

For those who're interested, this took about four hours from beginning to end. Managing to whittle it down slowly but surely! All background stuff/textures courtesy of Google Image Search once more, all I did was artfully collage and adjust the opacity. They are, for the most part, bits of Wales wherever possible - the rain and the stone are just rain and stones... oh, and the lightning too, that's not Wales.

Here's a little something I drew years ago but only recently got round to colouring in. I'm particularly happy with the swirly magic bits that are embossed so they look slightly chunky and wax-like.

Scribblers: The Bridesmaids' Gifts

Okay! So, these were the bridesmaids' gifts, and they sort of need to be read in this order, so I'm putting them up for all to see (the recipients, of course, have the originals.) Three are a bit blurry and one is a bit wonky from the scanner. This is not true of the originals. Also, the pencil marks have been removed from the originals.

Sort of Wedding Present

Okay, continuing in the vein of weddingy goodness, this is another sort of present. No prizes for guessing who it's for. I think we can basically assume that Lyric's been working on this for some time (ahem) and having mastered bikes... he's now mastered armour too.

New competition though: What should Chronal's present be? Perhaps a time travelling box...? Suggestions welcome!

Look what I've figured out how to do! Looks like it took AGES - in fact only took about five hours from sketch to screen. Also. Certain individuals are catching up with my post count, so naturally, this needs addressing!

(Dialogue/background = Super subject to change! This is kind of a first draft. Also, the backgrounds totally aren't mine! (The house/gravel/meteors are mine, natch) Kudos to the wonders of Google Image search. There's probably protocol for this kind of thing, but hey ho, it needed a background and I couldn't be bothered to do one myself. I love Photoshop! Ahem.)
