That door is beautiful. I love the combination of photo and cartoons. Reminds me of picture books I had as a child. Absolutely lovely.
I assume they take longer with photos, but I'd love to see increased use of them. Even if it's incidental, like real bookshelves in the background or suchlike.
It frequently takes less time, in fact - the photos appear when I need to draw something specific, and so have to look it up on Google, and then decide the Print Screen button is my friend because it's easier than copying. Here, the script called for a Regency door. I'm buggered if I know what one looks like. And so, the photo! Then I just use the spray can on it! Honestly, I don't know why people use Photoshop...
I also do it whenever Shift transforms - again, it's far quicker than drawing out a leopard.
